Jazz Ballad R is an eye-catching 3yo gelding by the Grand Prix dressage stallion Jive Magic. Jive Magic was known for his impressive power and strength and this is evident in Jazz Ballad R. Jazz Ballad R’s dam, Rumba R, is by none other than Regardez Moi. Regardez Moi is the current Australian National Grand Prix Champion and has won this title on three separate occasions, as well as representing Australia at the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas in 2009. Rumba R has been an exceptional broodmare for Ryans, having already produced three full brothers to Jazz Ballad R. Three of these full-brothers have been purchased by ambitious young riders including top FEI Young Rider Robbie Soster. The remaining full-brother, Jazzamatazz R, was purchased at auction by Grand Prix dressage rider Caroline Wagner. The dam’s line goes back to Duntroon who was the sire of Heath Ryan’s 2008 Olympic dressage horse Greenoaks Dundee. This is the only mare line that Heath and Rozzie have that directly traces back to Greenoaks Dundee. Jazz Ballad R is full of confidence and character. He has a wonderful uphill way of going and shows natural elasticity and balance. Jazz Ballad R is a serious competition horse for the future and his distinctive white splash will make him stand out from the crowd.
